Do I have to bring a dog?

No. Dogs are welcome but not required. Plenty of people walk with friends and family instead.

Is the festival really free?

Yes. The festival and market are open to the public at no cost. Only the walk requires registration.

How much is the walk?

$15 for ages 3 and up. Kids under 3 walk free. Registration includes an event t-shirt.

How long is the walk?

Your choice. One mile is three laps around Columbus Commons, two miles is six. Same route, same price. The walk starts at 1 p.m.

Do I have to fundraise?

No. Fundraising is optional and there's no minimum. If you'd like to, a Facebook fundraiser takes about two minutes and we'll give you the words to use.

Where does the money go?

Our sponsors cover the cost of the event, so 100% of donations and registrations go directly to the Jess Ross Sheehan Fund for Dogs at Gigi's.

Can I register a group?

Yes! You can register a group. Simply add everyone to your basket and enter each person's information as prompted during registration.

What are the rules for dogs?

Fully vaccinated dogs on non-retractable leashes are welcome.

Can my kids come?

Yes. The Kids Zone is built for our littlest dog people, with a carousel, face painting, games, and hands-on activities about being safe and confident around dogs.

Where do I park?

Columbus Commons has garages and street parking nearby.

Can I help if I can't come?

Yes. A donation funds the same care, and you can give any time.

How do rescues or vendors take part?

Everything for rescues, makers, and sponsors is on our partner page, including applications.
